Generally speaking, "using high voltages mean lower current" refers to on the condition of the same power, in order to reduce the loss of the power that during the process of voltage transmission, we have to lower the current.


According to the Formula P=I*U, U (Voltage) increases, while I (Current)decreases.


Thus, using high voltages means lower current.
