What is the difference between an inductive load and a capacitive load?

Inductive load: Allowing current to flow, and it can store energy in the inductor. The current lags behind the voltage;

 

Capacitive load: Preventing current from flowing, and it can also store energy in the capacitor. The current is ahead of the voltage.
