On the contrary, normal power supply, linear power supply whose voltage feedback circuit works in a linear condition;

Difference between SMPS and normal power supplies(linear power supply):

1)The technology of linear power supply is pretty mature and the production cost is much lower, which can achieve a high degree of stability; Besides, its ripple current is also small; Without the interference and noise of the switching power supply;

2)Comparing with SMPS, the volume of linear power supply is relatively large and the range of input voltage is higher instead.
